Quora new window changes the Pale Moon toolbar, but not everything

Unread post by suzyne » 2024-02-18, 22:24

This is not a problem, but I am wondering why some items stay on the toolbar?

In Quora, when clicking on a notification, a new window opens to show the post, which is fine. And they simplified the window and removed almost all the items on the navigation toolbar.

I presume that there is some HTML to do this, but what I don't get is why Simple Screen Shot and Browser TickTock are still visible?

Below is the Quora new window vs how a new window normally looks.

This is a result of the developers of those extensions not marking those toolbar items with the class "chromeclass-toolbar-additional", I believe.

If you open the window as a pop-up window and not just a regular new window, the controls have to specified, otherwise it will only show the address bar and status bar toolbars.

This sounds like a likely theory, thanks!
