Windows 10 keeps quarantining Pale Moon

Stupid Windows Defender in Windows 10 has decided to quarantine Pale Moon (even though I supposedly have "threat protection" turned off), and re-quarantines it a few days later even if I explicitly restore it:

I don't know why you guys ever bother with Windows support...

My Windows Defender behaves normally and has no complaints about the Pale Moon. I didn't create any exceptions.
Win 10 Pro, 64-bit, PM 32.5.1 64-bit portable.

Please verify that the file being quarantined is actually not infected. You can right-click, select properties, tab Digital Signatures, then click the signature entry and select details. it should look like this:

Well I can only suggest you report this to Microsoft as a false positive, in that case.

I find these threads about false negatives on Windows Defender quite intriguing. I am using Windows 10 with Windows Defender running on one laptop and Panda Security on the other, and have not yet had any warnings or quarantining happening. Assuming there is no virus/malware actually present, this varying behaviour on different Windows installs seems weird?

Not that weird if its the usual heuristics/AI-based false-positives, especially if Defender tunes itself based on past events on the host too (more malware events -> easier to trigger again), who knows what exactly is the actual reason for the alert.
