Topics like this are why it's always a good day to shift to Linux on the desktop and a DNS-based adblocking solution like NextDNS. I run NextDNS on both my phone and my router so all ads, undesirable websites, and trackers are blocked on all devices on my network. Never have to worry about an adblocking add-on again, or your OS spying on you and placing ads.
