I'm running on 30.0.1, and it's working well for me.
Unless there is a compelling reason to roll back, I'm inclined to leave it as is.
Any advice on that question will be appreciated. I imagine others are having the same thought.
Thanks for your calm and forthright handling of this regrettable situation.

I have just seen that this question has already been asked and answered in a Browser Development thread.
Sorry for the redundancy.

What version should I be using?

Yeah, if you're fine with 30.0.1, stay on that until 30.1.0 is released.
If you have a pre-30 backup of your profile and you're having trouble with 30.0.1, then restore the profile backup and roll back to 29.4.4 (and 29.4.5 will be released in the meantime to handle the security issues). Then upgrade to 30.1.0 whenever that is released.

The previous recommendation has changed.
Per the developer: "At this point I do recommend everyone on v30, problematic or not, to go back to v29.4.*"
