What is the easiest way to uninstall and then reinstall Pale Moon on Debian? I have a few bugs and would like to do a fresh reinstall. Thank you in advance.

Well it depends on how you got the browser.

With difficulty! I recall the install of the browser was not easy. I downloaded it from Pusser's page but the packages required were not self-evident to me. I finally managed to install it, but I don't recall all the steps. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you want to delete your profiles?
Then remove the 'pale moon' folder from '.moonchild productions' in your home directory.

You can uninstall PM by running

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove --purge palemoon
What version of Debian do you use?
Here are the official steps from the website.

Code: Select all

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stevenpusser/Debian_10/ /' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/home:stevenpusser.list
curl -fsSL https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:stevenpusser/Debian_10/Release.key | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/home_stevenpusser.gpg > /dev/null
sudo apt update
sudo apt install palemoon
Show the output of them, maybe we need to manage the keys.

Is there a way to reinstall on Debian simply using Pale Moon's own website? I'd like to do that if possible. Thanks.

No, there isn't.
You need to remove the folder in your home, then uninstall Pale Moon via apt/dpkg and then reinstall it like the instructions say.

So is it necessary to use Pusser's program to install?

There is no Pusser's program. apt is on your system and you can easily uninstall Pale Moon with it.

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove --purge palemoon
You git that packages from Pusser's repository.
