Palemoon is faster than expected!
I use many different browser and honestly wasnt expecting much out of Palemoon. If anything, I was expecting it to not work very well. Only because Ive tested several other "non-mainstream" browsers recently and right away saw (1) slow performance (2) obvious bugs in UI.
But I must say Palemoon feels very snappy and fast vs Chrome, Chromium and Firefox. Very impressive.
Yall are doing excellent work in my view.
The last browser I tested has a MUCH bigger team than yall and right after install had several obvious (and disappointing) UI bugs.
These other browsers I tested I really wanted to like them, and really wanted to use them. But at the end of the day their issues were deal breaks because they were simply too inconvenient.

Good news is for you it will get faster next release. We had an issue that required us to disable a specific point in JS optimization to prevent crashes and that has now been fixed thanks to true community contributing development.
So for you it will get faster and for everyone else we will regain some lost speed!

Chromium is open sourced parts of chrome.
Basically Chrome is Chromium + Google proprietary components.

No, especially for you we will build in a check and if we see it's you we'll keep it slow.Kathuluforz wrote: ↑2021-01-26, 19:06So basically I will see it faster too? because I never saw any loss in speed...holy moly! Uberiffic.

You could, but then my tin foil wrapped monitor may block those attempts...precisely the reason for me doing so, and it's totally

Re: Palemoon is faster than expected!
This browser kicks ass. I have been wondering for the past few days if there wasn't a thread praising the speed and efficiency of Pale Moon web browser. At first the precious reminded me of the love I had for old school FF. Then in time the reality was obvious the best browser I have ever used is Pale Moon. Much thanks to the developers.

Version 29 of Pale Moon is very impressive. I have been using PM for years now, but the performance increase seen for v29 is insane, and I think it can only get better from here. Page loading is much quicker than previous versions, must be something to do with Javascript?
