However, I would imagine that the number of downloads are at least kept track of, and that there is at least a count kept of how many browsers check in with the update servers. I think someone referenced that in the past when saying they estimated (at the time) that there were half a million Pale Moon users.
So, my question for anyone with access to those numbers is: Has there been a noticeable uptake in downloads of Pale Moon, or instances of Pale Moon requesting updates from the Pale Moon servers during the Firefox problems the last day or so?
I've got to imagine people are or were at least temporarily switching to something. I've seen images that suggest that searches for "Firefox alternatives" and the like on major search engines have skyrocketed. I'm just whether that's moving the meter with Pale Moon at all, or if almost everyone is just installing Chrome/something else.
As an aside, this might not be a bad time for Pale Moon to buy some short-term ads that come up when phrases like "Firefox alternatives" are searched for on major search engines.
