Everything Works!
With the release of 32.2.0, I've been able to finally close that pesky Firefox window I've had to keep open for incompatible websites! Every single one of the websites I use that weren't working before is working now! THANK YOU ALL!
Re: Everything Works!
Same experience here. Great work! The best browser around just keeps getting better!

Re: Everything Works!
Pale Moon now loads the website of a financial entity that it couldn't display before (haven't performed any transactions yet, but I don't expect any errors). It's cool.

Spectrum.net is fixed: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=29852
And I just noticed Reddit (ugh) is also fixed.
Edit: Facebook messaging has some semblance of working again as well. (Thread on that topic: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=29527 )
Such excellent progress again in this release!

This certainly looks like a good update, great work chaps. reddit works, my Telegraph puzzles site works.
But....... wix.com blogs still don't. https://harinderbakhshi.wixsite.com/alt ... orum/forum momentarily displays when you log in then goes blank.
Was hoping I could ditch Vivaldi and finally move back to my favourite Palemoon but looks like we are not quite there yet.

Re: Everything Works!
Just use Vivaldi for the pages only which don't work, using 2 browsers is nothing bad at all - No reason to not use Pale Moon for the rest of the pages. I always have 2 browsers open here.davews wrote: ↑2023-05-18, 14:40This certainly looks like a good update, great work chaps. reddit works, my Telegraph puzzles site works.

And regarding "quite there yet" - ECMAScripts are a moving target, Pale Moon will never work "perfectly like the big mainstream Blink engine" - you have to learn to live with work-arounds if you are not using a mainstream browser

Re: Everything Works!
That's because ECMAScript is currently more of a descriptive standard, describing what Google implements in Blink, rather than a defining standard, i.e. features actively requested (by web devs!) before they are implemented based on the standards definitions. It's a topsy-turvy world there. Implementation first, then standard, then everyone else has to scramble to implement it too, while new shinies are thought up and implemented @ Google. And in many cases the "shinies" are just syntactic sugar or different ways to do the exact same thing. there has not been much genuine innovation for years now.

Re: Everything Works!
This is the same experience as mine. I only use librewolf for whatsapp and do everything in pale moon, but, whatsapp is a piece of crap and poorly coded, to the point that even webkit (which is very blinky) has issues running it

Re: Everything Works!
Same thing here. Everything is running marvelously. Thanks to everyone involved in making Pale Moon such a great browser.
Re: Everything Works!
I found myself using the YouTube Studio/Creator interface for the first time in a long time yesterday (by happenstance) and everything worked perfectly for 3 video uploads.
I know there were issues in the past.
Such success. Very work. Wow.

Applying moderation selections to Slashdot discussions works again.

Re: Everything Works!
WordPress even worked again lol. It's been a while since I use Pale Moon because I was busy migrating to Debian, but wow PM support WebComponents now. How wonderful
Gonna set this browser to be my default again, and let's see how it works.

Debian 12 Bookworm - KDE Plasma 5.27
Intel Celeron N5100 - 4 gigs of RAM - 256 gigs of SSD
I can barely speak english, so bear that in mind when talking to me

Re: Everything Works!
Well nearly everything...
One oddity remains for me... a missing scroll bar for just the folders panel on LH side of MS' Outlook.live.com webmail pages... the problem has been aired here a while back... and there are a couple of workarounds... see: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=29198
I 'assume' MS are choosing to use some curious 'chrome/webkit only' coding gizmo for that particular scroll bar?

Re: Everything Works!
I would suppose (as far from their current behavior in the windows landscape on hardcore-pushing the browser) microsoft is now edge only and may be definitely making everything to work firstly on it, as in the IE days.Blacklab wrote: ↑2023-05-26, 12:36Well nearly everything...

Re: Everything Works!
The performance improvements from the last two updates are just stunning. I'm currently running with just Pale Moon and Basilisk and gave the boot to my Chrome-clone a week or so ago. LIfe is good.

Re: Everything Works!
So I just upgraded to Debian 12 (Bookworm) and change from Xorg protocol to Wayland. Surprisingly, under Xwayland, PM works without any hitch (like Firefox with it's disabled hardware acceleration). The theming got even better after I used the Photon theme. I think this is the most native-y looking GTK program in my KDE desktop (yet)

Also I got search function (as you can see on global menu), and basically it opens a small text box where you can search for history & bookmarks & preferences of PM. The feature is really useful for my workflow

Re: Everything Works!
PM is simply great...
It's just unbelievable how simply and easy to use the browser is and also use about 30-40% less memory than the standard Firefox!
Merci.
