I use Revolution IRC on the rare occasion that I want to subject myself to IRC on mobile. It's at least slightly more tolerable to me than Yaaic and some of its ilk. You might also try Quasseldroid, but it requires a "core" (basically a bouncer) to be running elsewhere that you connect to. I haven't tried it myself.
