List of allowed cookies

Unread post by PapaiMark » 2025-02-27, 10:07

Is it possible or pertinent to do something like FF's permissions.sqlite so we can allow specific cookies
instead of denying millions of others?
I mean, better than that, to delete all history except the defined cookies... AND specific SITES configuration (logins, history).
Just a suggestion.

I could import this file to waterfox and librewolf just by copy/paste, very helpful.

You can use eMatrix to block cookies from domain which is often what you want, i.e. if a domain gives you 5 cookies you usually want all of them, but if you block a domain you rarely want more than 0 from it.

Sorry, I think I didn't explain well or didn't understand the extension.
I mean:
Menu > Preferences > Privacy > Allow sites to store cookies and site data > Exceptions...
This way, I would add millions of sites.

Now, changing or adding this option would be more helpful, at least for me:
Menu > Preferences > Privacy > DO NOT store cookies and site data > Exceptions...
So, I would add a few dozens of them.

You can remove the checkmark from "Allow sites ..." and use the exception dialog to permit cookies for selected sites.

And you might take a look at the extension Cookies Exterminator. Basic idea is the auto deletion of cookies after the last browser tab where they are used is closed. Of course with the option to define exceptions.
