Basilisk/Pale Moon do not currently support this feature.
We will need to port over this Mozilla issue to add this feature: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=987877

Why do you need this, anyway? I thought this was only useful for people who want to automate the browser (e.g. WebDriver) which we categorically don't support in UXP.

On the Bugzilla link someone commented saying that an internal company tool of theirs uses XPaths and that the tool was unrelated to WebDriver, so I guess that there are use cases other than WebDriver.
