Will this work? Do I have to do something extra?

Shockwave should work in general, but with more info we should be able to assist you better.
What is your OS?
Do you have the Shockwave plugin installed? If so, does it show if you browse to about:plugins?

You will have to install the shockwave plugin for the same architecture as your browser. If the browser is 64 bit, you need SW 64 bit too.
