I used to care, about webextensions in a positive myself... but as time passed, reasons heard and thoughts pondered, I became glad that they weren't being supported.
Why mozilla picked webxtensions from google as their ideal, is beyond me...
Google is very often a butcher of security. Not as much as microsoft, but still. Although both are known privacy invaders.
