Basilisk 2023.01.07 Released!

Unread post by Basilisk-Dev » 2023-01-08, 06:29

Basilisk 2023.01.07 has been released!

This release uses the same UXP platform version as Pale Moon 31.4.2.

See the release notes for more information.

See the downloads page to download the update.

Autoupdates will not work from Moonchild Productions releases to Basilisk Development Team releases due to changes in the compression algorithm used for the autoupdate files. You will need to manually perform an update from a Moonchild Productions version of Basilisk to our version. After this one-time manual update autoupdates will work again. Please review the first run page after performing this update for instructions on how to transfer your data from the older Basilisk versions to the current version.

The archive server only has binaries. Source code can be downloaded from https://repo.palemoon.org/Basilisk-Dev/Basilisk

sorry. in fact I meant the binary file to include in the source section of my pkgbuild :D However I think it was just a temporary connection issue, I have downloaded it eventually. Thanks and keep up the great work

I forgot to add that going forwards Basilisk will be built using CentOS 7 rather than the Ubuntu version I was using. I made this change because Pale Moon release builds are built with CentOS 7. I wanted to use the same environment being used for Pale Moon for consistency between our applications.

Interesting, I checked and the update server does appear to be serving the update XML and update file properly. I'll see if I can replicate your result this weekend, thanks for letting me know.

Can you please consider adding a checkbox for enabling/disabling WebRTC and WASM? Just to set things faster than about:config

The Help|About dialogue on my machine says 2023.01.08. Clicking the What's New link goes to the 2023.01.07 Release Notes page.
