They don't?
Re: Basilisk 2021.07.19 not tagged in gitea
Has there been any major work on Basilisk that hasn't been a direct result of work relating to the platform or other similar global decisions since 2019?

I'm guessing the answer to that question is no. My post was mostly just a gag post, though.

Why do you care so much about the repo being tagged? I haven't seen you contributing...

So when I build serpent I can see the latest tag name. It is just a date so it doesn't matter that much anyway. Also there wasn't a post about Basilisk release so it is probably related.

As I indicated it really isn't developed but kept building with periodic releases theoretically to test stable platform features but it won't get much in the way of intentional focused changes cause that would break more old and insecure Firefox extensions even faster.
It also will never get working drm again because Google and will never be allowed to be used on most services that are based on WebRTC despite being rather spec complient according to Google's own test suite.
I am not gonna lie to you. Objectively what you have is a web client in purgatory with a barely justified reason to continue to exist. This is the state people wanted Pale Moon to be in, by the way. HOWEVER, some people like it. So be it.
