Display of Characters in NYT articles

Attached is a snapshot of a random article from the New York Times that is not displaying correctly -- characters dropping "below the line" are being cut-off at the line, such as g, p, and y. This is happening in Baslilisk and Pale Moon, but not in Firefox, Edge, Chrome.
