Basilisk does not work on Netflix Test Patterns Video

Unread post by Lassar » 2020-04-26, 18:14

Am looking for a relatively lightweight browser to play Pure Flix videos in.
(XenialPup64 OS from Ubuntu 16.04)

Decided to test linux version of Basilisk on Nextflix Test Patterns Video.
This device (Linux - Firefox v42) doesn’t support our free preview.
Changing the user agent (using user agent switcher) doesn't help.

Is this NextFlix, using a feature test to see what browser you are using?

Is there any other website drm test video to test it on?

Would first, like to make sure, that it works, before I try the Pure Flix trial.

I don't use netflix myself but it sounds like it requires a DRM component or silverlight at a guess.

Yes, even that page requires DRM.

Yes, even that page requires DRM.
Of course it would because it wouldn't be much of a test of Netflix's normal operations if it didn't.
