amazon prime video
I searched and found a locked thread about amazon.com with useragent overrides. Amazon prime video isn't currently working for me. I tried various UA overrides but with no avail. Any way to get it working on Basilisk?
Re: amazon prime video
Also, I'm getting a similar error for Hulu:
Update your browser to the latest version.

Re: amazon prime video
Unfortunately Google has cut off DRM licensing for Widevine for our supported API (v9). We're hoping to have this fixed soon but our media module owner has very little time at the moment to spend on UXP. There's no workaround.

Working fine for me - x64 on Linux without any UA overrides or anything else.

Re: amazon prime video
I use this override in both PM and Basilisk for "amazon.com". Both work fine.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.8) Gecko/20151126 Firefox/31.9 PaleMoon/25.8.1
EDIT: Just tested this for Hulu and it doesn't work

Re: amazon prime video
Saw that but it still works for me in both browsers for Amazon.

Re: amazon prime video
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.8) Gecko/20151126 Firefox/31.9 PaleMoon/25.8.1 and when I try to play a video I get, "Video unavailable. We're experiencing a problem playing this video.". A different error message than before (I'm guessing since it uses such an old version in the UA) but still no-go.
Note both sites work fine for me otherwise (with or without the UA override). It's just when I try to play video that I get the "your browser needs updated" error.
I can be patient and wait for the fix Moonchild mentioned.
Edit: Also, the best luck I get is with no UA override. It actually starts playing for a couple seconds and then throws up 2 errors. One like the above "We're experiencing a problem playing this video." and another in the lower right corner saying something about "your browser does not support high definition playback...".

Re: amazon prime video
OK this is strange. I just refreshed the webpage and now the video I was testing on plays fine.
Edit: I tried another video and the refresh isn't working. It just keeps saying they're having trouble playing the video. Must have been a fluke.

Re: amazon prime video
I am using the Silverlight plugin to play video in Basilisk and Pale Moon. Do you have play DRM enabled in "Preferences ->Content" and have Silverlight installed? Or are you on Linux?
EDIT: I must add that Amazon videos wont play in either browser without the UA override above.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: amazon prime video
Silverlight playback will be unaffected by in-browser DRM, since it's a plugin. If amazon falls back to silverlight then that should continue to work just fine

Re: amazon prime video
OK, I'll give Silverlight a shot. I thought it was dropped/deprecated a few years ago so I wouldn't have thought it still worked on sites like Amazon. Thanks!
