Basilisk forgets page-zoom settings on Windows 10

I guess before I start, I should mention I've gone through this thread.
viewtopic.php?t=8864

Anyway, ...

I have a webpage containing an image I made set as the "home page" for the browsers on our six or so computers here at home. All of them except one run Windows 7x64, and they all work fine in regard to this issue. The problem is only on my wife's machine, which runs Win10 (1809) x64.

Here's the page (it's an Avatar-related pic).
https://www.edu-net.net/images/MoniCatsMeIkran.htm

We use the Fx addon QuickZoom2 (v 2.1) to downsize the page on all the machines that have smaller monitors (e.g laptops). Maybe I should mention that my wife uses a 4:3 21-inch monitor.

And of course we have Basilisk set so it doesn't clear site preferences when she closes the browser.

Last but not least, even on her machine, the settings stick as they should in Pale Moon. Just for the record, we're using the very latest Basilisk and PM, but the problem has always existed with Basilisk since we started using it over a year ago.

Does anyone know how I can get Basilisk to remember the zoomed-down settings?

Thank you.

Never mind post. Will contact the administrator personally.

Do not use anything this person develops. He is banned forever from Phoebus for busting browsers, busting earlier versons of Phoebus before extra protections were put in place, violating rules AND bandodging on the Add-ons site with at least one extension on the blocklist.

I hardcoded his ban into the software.

MODERATOR: Please remove his link.

Bogus, this was my first attempt ever to post on Phoebus and no such extension was listed on blocklist. Besides, OP and others are already and have been utilizing some of my add-ons/custombuttons for a long while. Administrator has been contacted for resolution into the matter.

I AM the Phoebus Administrator. BTW I dunno who you contacted. I acted in accordance with a decision made by the Pale Moon Add-ons Team Leader.

Sonny, don't worry, some of us know you're a big help. Although I use your CB3 ext. and some of your CB buttons, for the zoom function I usually use Zoom Page or NoSquint. I'd have to check to see what I have or had in Basilisk specifically. Not sure why the OP didn't try those.

@Michaell,

Thanks for the reply. I don't know about Zoom Page or NoSquint, but my small (no bells or whistles) add-on, Mousewheel Zoom on my site @ https://sonco.synthasite.com/basilisk-add-ons.php (among other add-ons) installs a button on the toolbar (drag mouse icon from Customize Toolbar Palette), that when hovered, uses the mousewheel to zoom page in/out and resets zoomed page on left-click. If text is highlighted and zoomed off the page, middle-clicking on the button will scroll the text into view.

I'll try it and report back later. (I have 2 browsers open already and don't have enough RAM to open Basilisk too.)

I've tried different approaches, I don't remember, though, which ones.

Again, the problem isn't with text; it's related to the image I made for the Basilisk home page for my wife's 4:3 monitor.

She has the exact same settings and the exact same extensions in Basilisk as she has in PM. In PM the settings stick; in Basilisk they don't.

I'm aware that the two browsers are fundamentally different and that Basilisk is a real-world platform for the development of the "Unified XUL Platform and UXP applications".

I'll close this posting with the comment that for numerous other reasons, all related to Windows 10 and the Intel NUC computer she had been using, my wife has now gone back to her trusty old ASUS machine with Windows 7.

Mousewheel Zoom works as designed for me in Basilisk [old (Feb) build] and the current zoom level shows in the browser's built-in button too. Closed tab and let cookie clear then went back and still zoomed in. Middle click refocus worked too.
