Basilisk 2019.02.11 Crash with Tile Tabs Plugin
Basilisk 2019.02.11
Tile Tabs 14.9 http://legacycollector.org/firefox-addons/71411/index.html
The plugin seems to work, but it has caused certain sites that embed youtube (and possibly other videos) to completely crash the browser.
You can reproduce 100% of the time by adding a youtube video link to a trello.com board, where it attempts to embed instantly.
trello is not the only site that has caused this. It happened one other time, but I no longer know which site it was.
This is troubling because Tile Tabs is the number one reason why I switched. Immensely useful for my work.
I don't think this is a WebExtensions type because Tile Tabs has never been what it was since being forced to move to horrible WebExtensions code.
Anyone think I could work around this somehow? Or know why this might be the case?
Thanks

Just found an example that doesn't require a trello account: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/anno-1800/ go to this link and click "watch the trailer" on the bottom left

No, it's definitely not a webextension. Have you tried the newest version available there, 14.12? Not saying that would fix the problem, but you never know.
[FTR, it is an extension, not a plug-in.]

In the case of a crash please run AppCrashView and post a crash report unless, of course, you meant that it's a hang instead of a crash caused by the extension.

@helloimustbegoing
Just tried the latest (thanks I never knew it was there!), but unfortunately no luck.
@Moonchild
Is there a crash report method for linux users? I attempted to launch from terminal but it doesn't stay in the foreground.
If not, I can attempt to get a report Monday from my work (windows) computer.
[edit] Yes, it's a full crash, browser closes.

If you're running Ubuntu or a distro based on it, try using Apport.tincup wrote:

Thanks @helloimustbegoing, good to know for the future.
@Moonchild
Attached is the latest crash report from my windows machine. Let me know if I can do anything else to help!

Please indicate if you're using Basilisk 32-bit or 64-bit
(I'm assuming 32-bit?)

I was able to reproduce the crash and debug it.

It's OK, I managed to reproduce it so it's been fixed (unstable channel version shouldn't crash this way anymore)tincup wrote:I'm running 64 bit, sorry for the late reply.
