Re: Basilisk on Mac OSX?
No need to apologize for asking a question, but please understand that we've grown tired of being asked the same questions again and again (which are easily discoverable by using forum search) so you may get irritated responses as a result.

Re: Basilisk on Mac OSX?
Thanks for the response, Moonchild my intention was not to make aggravation for anyone. I am slowly working with Xcode and the command line tools to hopefully be able to join and help in the effort of your work for mac products. I really like the browser and what I have seen so far. I do understand the frustration of questions. So I will try to be better about topics and searching for my answers before wasting everyone's time. Thanks for humoring an old man in learning a hobby..

Re: Basilisk on Mac OSX?
thank you @SpockFan02. it is great to be able to run the Basilisk and its good support for XUL extensions in MacOSX.
BTW, are you still supporting the build of future Basilisk/Serpent for MacOSX?

I will keep building it and if there are issues I can try to help, but I clearly have not been very diligent, and for that I apologize. Here is the latest version, Basilisk v2020.03.11.

Re: Basilisk on Mac OSX?
sorry but this UXP remains like foreign language to me - no indication on what it stands for on this forum visible.New Tobin Paradigm wrote: ↑2020-05-07, 17:46Before continuing you may want to familiarize your self with our projects some.
ah, now i found it:
from basilisks page
"Unified XUL Platform (UXP), which in turn is a fork of the Mozilla code base without Servo or Rust."
the latest firefox/waterfox running on snow leopard foundwas around waterfox 48, so i might guess that the door is closed for Basilisk aswell?

Re: Basilisk on Mac OSX?
UXP's minimum target version of the Macintosh is 10.7.
That is what is "hindering" it.
Now for completeness: A "target" in software terms is a specific set of abilities and features you are programming for. If we target a minimum of 10.7, then we are programming for the abilities and features implemented in the 10.7 version of the O.S.; this includes things 10.6 simply doesn't have. So it will just not be compatible with 10.6 as a result, and that can't easily be changed because it would require specifically re-writing parts of the platform to target a different version of the O.S.
Snow leopard had its latest release in 2011; it's simply too old a version so we aren't targeting or supporting it.

Could I ask you to upload v2020.05.08 build?
Sorry to bother you about this, will totally understand if you won't do it ,
also it's an incremental release so I get you may skip it for that reason also.
But still thanks for any builds you provide.
