Extension porting from FireFox

Unread post by vinfdsc » 2017-11-18, 10:28

Hello

I would like to port my extension to work with Basilisk. But I have a few questions

1. I use the addons SDK technology with an "jpm" utility. As far as I know Mozilla stopped supporting the jpm utility.
Will be the Basilisk team to support JPM?
(will it be possible to download jpm from the Basilisk team)

2. The proliferation of the extension due to the fact that addons SDK is outdated, no longer is conducted through a Mozilla addons gallery.
Where can Basilisk users to know about the extension?

1. No porting should be necessary for use in Basilisk. It should work as-is.
2. I don't really have an answer as regards what Mozilla now lists as "legacy" and no longer supports in their latest release -- there are a few efforts underway to make sure the extension ecosystem doesn't vanish entirely, but I'm not directly involved in any of them.

I do not quite understand, I can have someone to learn about the plans about the support of jpm utility?

Otherwise I won't be able to assemble a new version of the extension, if I lose the my local copy of jpm.

If I understand correctly, jpm is now available on github
https://github.com/mozilla-jetpack/jpm
So the question is solved.
