Re: disabling mic access
Can you provide a link to a specific page on Aliexpress that does this, or provide instructions to replicate?

this is a random example but it doesnt matter what page. when the site is loaded its lowering volume in my media player MPC-HC
now sure what else to say. try yourself. you may need to install mpc-hc to see if it happens to you. I dont know what to tell you.
its not a crazy thing to understand what may be happening. how do I disable all sites from trying to access my audio/mic?
I dont have this in other browsers I use

Re: disabling mic access
Be thankful. I disabled eMatrix and uBO on aliexpress to test this.
I cannot reproduce the issue on my machine. I have MPC-HC installed on 4 of the 5 machines here so I could test with more but I'm not inclined to.
Although I don't actually have a microphone plugged into this machine right now. I guess I could test with one that does... Hang on.
Edit: Unable to reproduce on my machine with a microphone.

Re: disabling mic access
You don't have to plug one in - the system should have a microphone device configured and ready to use, that's all. Web apps can't detect whether one is actually plugged in. If you don't plug it in it will show up as muted.
