Was paying for a vpn until recently when thought, fudge it, probably can make do without it for a bit. Admittedly was in a cheap mindset lol.
That came with having to shore up the dns, since the vpn isn't there to do that no more.
Now I ain't no tech geek, it's probably half baked, but seem to have figured out some basics.
Firefox has dns over https (doh) and was wondering if it's possible to implement in Basilisk? Posting here as feel like it would be a browser thing rather than uxp?
Not sure why as don't actually know but it sounds more plausible.
It'd be a simple (hopefully) full coverage version only. None of you want this or that granular crap. It'd either be on with full coverage for all or off.
Know there are tools and methods out there for all this, but not being tech savvy, those tools aren't doing it for me. Too many bells and whistles. This thing you take a https dns url, plonk it in, and ta-da!

Eh, this one fizzled before it sizzled. Not qualified to even muster anything. Do think lots of people use it though. Darn those YouTube tutorials that make everything seem rosy.
Re: A simplified secure dns
People use it because it's hidden from them and on-by-default. If you're using Firefox, you're using d'Oh with whatever Mozilla decided should be your trusted resolver. I'm pretty sure nobody was asked if they were OK with it when they upgraded.
