attempting to open https://new.auchan.ua/ causes palemoon to hang with 100% CPU and constantly rising memory usage at ~50MB/second until it killed.
This page works in chrome and FF.

Confirmed it hangs - most likely judging by the behaviour this is a script recursion issue, but since it completely locks up (and scripts are of course minified) there's no way to troubleshoot this.

I suspect it's the whole "abortable streams" thing that is the latest shiny and hot potato for web frameworks, and just choking hard when it doesn't find the API because "everyone" has it anyway, right?

Given that this bug was fixed in Waterfox 2019.10 and comparing its changelog with the mozregression pushlog, I assume that the fix is in one of the following bugs: bug #1388618, bug #1378529 or bug #1378342. Most likely it is the last one.
