It depends entirely on how the website handles form input. If they aren't using normal html user/password form fields, then the browser may possibly not be able to save it as such.

In these situation get the "Saved Password Editor" extension and save the name/pw yourself. It will work after that.

It's nice that there's this workaround to the websites' making login forms improperly.

We all would like that Pale Moon compensate for this kind of common mistakes by web designers even when not PM's fault. Recent example such as the Facebook image loop that tortured everyone for months. Web designers don't care about "little" browsers. We're too tiny a percent of the traffic.

So it's not valid HTML?
I thought it's a PM problem because it works in the other browsers.

  • The website made a nonstandard login form
  • Every browser except Pale Moon supports it perfectly
  • but it's not Pale Moon's fault because the form is nonstandard
  • also you have no right to complain since you're not sending in a pull request
