newmoon to palemoon update changed bit version

Unread post by missmoondog » 2017-02-12, 14:41

just got the update from newmoon to palemoon installed. seems to have gone very smoothly, but now the version of palemoon that is installed is 32bit when i'm on a 64bit machine. newmoon is/was the 64bit version though.

pretty sure when i had palemoon installed previously, it was the 64 bit version.

any ideas what happened and what to do?

thank you

edit:
probably should start a new topic for this one but seeing as how no one has replied yet, i also lost my flash plugin in palemoon. i had the most current version installed, 24 something, in newmoon, as do i in firefox and opera.

how to fix that also, please!

If I were you, I'd uninstall Pale Moon and manually delete any leftover folders, then install the version you want.

ok, so how do i do that properly?

usually synaptic picks up the correct version, except for this last time.

thanks for the reply

edit:
what a duh! yep, uninstalling and removing the extra's then reinstalling from here, https://software.opensuse.org/download. ... ge=newmoon totally did the trick. have 64bit and flash again!!

thank you
