The throbber's icon is not visible in the customize palette, though its label "Activity Indicator" can be seen there. If you pull it out and put it on a toolbar nothing is visible, not even the label (with 'Show Icons and Text' selected) though it will displace other elements to make space for itself.
Throbber was placed between urlbar and searchbar. It pushed them apart but can't be seen:
The pics above are from the 2nd alpha in safe mode, but it was this way since the 1st alpha, from first day vanilla. No themes are installed. There was nothing in the error console.

Re: Throbber not visible?
Thanks for reporting -- seems the "idle throbber" (not loading) image vanished from the toolkit theme. Easy enough to re-introduce to fix this.

Re: Throbber not visible?
I don't know if this is related or not. If I unmerge (Gentoo's removal command) x11-themes/hicolor-icon-theme and start up Pale Moon from an xterm, it works. But there is a message on the launching xterm screen...
Is the hicolor-icon-theme a dependancy of Pale Moon? It seems like overkill to import the entire hicolor-icon-theme to supply a few icons for Pale Moon. Is it possible to package the necessary icons with the Pale Moon build?
Code: Select all
(pale moon:11191): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find the icon 'gtk-go-back-ltr'. The 'hicolor' theme was not found either, perhaps you need to install it.
You can get a copy from:

Re: Throbber not visible?
Walter, that's not related.
Pale Moon uses system icons for its GTK themes, on purpose, to integrate with the desktop theme as much as possible. If we'd start to bundle all our own icons also for what otherwise would be system-styled controls, then we'd no longer integrate this way; so yes, it's a dependency.
