[solved] Bookmarks panel gone awry

Unread post by kormoran » 2016-07-22, 09:49

I just installed the alpha and it works, but:
The bookmarks column (left on the screen, you can toggle it with CTRL-B) it's empty. It contains just the "bookmarks toolbar" and it's stuck: clicking on it does nothing. I can only left-click and get the context menus.
My bookmarks are still there though, I can reach them via menu.

System data:
Windows 7 x64 SP1
4GB RAM DDR2
processor Intel E2200
graphic card GeForce 210, driver version 341.95

It would help to have a screenshot of what you are seeing and any errors that are in the Error Console.

Problem disappeared.
I installed the Error Console button and restarted NewMoon.
Now the bookmark panel works just fine. :eh:
Oh well.

Yeah I couldn't reproduce.. Also it is not a panel but a sidebar.. Terminology is important as I thought you were talking about something else.

I also experienced this on my first run of the alpha. I restarted the browser while trying to troubleshoot something else and it resolved itself and hasn't happened since, so I couldn't look into it any further.

Glad to have a confirm

I don't know if it's related or not, but...
Sometimes I misclick the windows quickbar and launch the browser twice: on those occasions, one of the two Palemoon instances has the bookmarks sidebar blank, totally empty. The other is just fine.
That was the same with all versions of Palemoon I had, since Palemoon 4 or so then
