Can not connect to the sync server

Unread post by yami_ » 2018-11-12, 00:08

Around 2018-11-11T23:00Z the sync server started returning the HTTP/1.1 502 Bad Gateway status code. Did something happen to it?

The sync server has been under regular DoS attacks. Something caused a load spike that I will investigate.

It seems it was a runaway query caused by a sync user shoving a ridiculous amount of data to the server in a single batch. I'll see if I can tune the db server to handle this better in the future or abort if out of bounds.

I guess that explains it. Can I assume that the HTTP/1.1 412 PRECONDITION FAILED errors and

Code: Select all

DEBUG	Records that will be uploaded again because the server couldn't store them: <list of records>
that I have been getting today are also part of that problem?
