How to set up Pale Moon Sync on multiple devices

Pairing devices/installations of Pale Moon Sync may not be the most intuitive process without some advance knowledge of how the process works.

This page outlines the setup procedure when you have access to both installations (so-called easy setup, which uses a 12-character code), as well as the procedure you need to follow when you are not near a synced computer (you need to have written down your recovery key in that case).
