Google Search has been steadily getting worse the past several years, becoming less accurate and providing junk results rather than the specific info you're looking for, and it's only amplified by its implementation of AI into its search results (this also affects Image Search as well).
However, a recent article posted on Tedium points out that there's a way to get the classic Google search results of the old days: After making a Google search, click "Web." That's it. That's all you have to do. No AI, no ad-friendly/irrelevant search results, just Google the way we knew it back then. There's even a URL for it: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14
I tried following the step-by-step process for either adding a new URL for it in the Search Engines List, or editing the existing Google search URL we currently have, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. I just keep getting directed to the default search plugins on the PM website.
It would be nice if we could get this URL into our search bar.
Suggestion: Google Web (AI-free Google) in the search bar

Search engine plugins is probably the only technical aspect of Pale Moon that I actually have more than a basic understanding of, so I made a page that allows you to add a search plugin for Pale Moon that returns the Web results from Google.
You can find it here:

Was going to write something akin to that but Ernie Smith did it for me.It’s depressing that it’s gotten to this, isn’t it?
I'll be kicking and screaming into this data overlord era of "it's smarter than you" AI BS.
Take away what works and replace it with new things so we have something to do.
The joys of being poor while silicon valley dictates many elements of the future without your consent.
The data whore endlessly takes more. Someone should make an In Bloom data parody.
Now I'm just making up terms because I'll forever stay out of touch to ever be cool.

This is a smart public relations strategy by Tedium to boost their profile!
