Pale Moon unable to release web worker

I have a problem that looks like Pale Moon not able to terminate a web worker after the tab which spawned it is closed. It results in Pale Moon briefly in and out of not responding.

The problem is trigger by this problem:

Another problem it causes it is unable to release memory used by the tab.
