Pale Moon - Flatpak

Unread post by fatboy » 2023-03-24, 20:37

Good Day Community,

I am unsure where to post this, but here I go:

I was wondering how you guys feel about publishing Pale Moon on https://flathub.org/home ? I don't know how difficult it is to package an app on there, but you guys have a tarball already, and that is probably most of the work?
Publishing Pale Moon as a flatpak would make Pale Moon accessible to more people and might yield in more donations/code contributions?

Anyway, just an idea.
Cheers

Search before posting. This has been discussed in detail.

Also, as a consequence of the previous discussions and analysis, it has explicitly been added to the redistribution license (3b) as well, if you care to inform yourself.

To fatboy:

Reminder that you are always free of building without branding and distributing it.

I think that the default name was New Moon or so.

It was, until it was claimed by one of the offshoots who couldn't be bothered to give their product their own name.
