As a heads up to the people who are on the unstable channel with Pale Moon:
Please be warned that the unstable channel will be moved to Pale Moon v28.0 alpha builds
very soon. This will mean a few important things for you:
- Once the switch is made, your profile will be migrated to a v28 profile. This is a one-way conversion that cannot be undone by reverting to an older version of the browser.
- Pale Moon v28.0 is still truly in alpha, so your stability and usability may take a hit.
- Sync currently does not work yet in v28.
The current unstable channel builds are at-level with the current release version of Pale Moon (v27.9.2).
If you prefer stability over the bleeding edge, then please stop what you are doing right now and switch over to the release version.

Just wonder if "fully functioning status bar" and "re-opening sidebar when browser window shows" will be available in upcoming unstable release?

@ Moonschild
Do you plan to open a sub-forum, something like "UXP and PM" ?

@ Moonchild
I quote you :
" This is a one-way conversion that cannot be undone by reverting to an older version of the browser "
Question :
why that cannot be undone ?

Because Mozilla 52 and Pale Moon 28 have differences in the way they use profiles from Pale Moon 27, and while PM 28 will be aware of the differences and be able to convert a profile, Pale Moon 27 is not and will not be aware of the differences and will not know how to revert changes to the profile structure and contents.

With Pale Moon by my side, surfing the web is quite enjoyable and takes my headaches away!

Does this mean that PM 28 will incorporate bits of code from FF 52 (or 52 & beyond)?

Yes. Pale Moon 28 is built on the Unified XUL Platform, a fork of Mozilla 52; for Pale Moon, milestone 28 is a rebase to code originally used in Firefox 52 (with a lot of junk removed, new features and bugfixes backported from later Mozilla versions, and other improvements made). The front-end application code (user interface, etc.) will stay mostly the same as Pale Moon 27, though. The most noticeable differences are improved rendering and JavaScript support (and of course, right now, all the yet-to-be-fixed bugs caused by the rebase).

Palemoon 28 works great so far, some pages that don't renders well in v27 are now good.

status bar is working fine now, thanks
just having a little inconvenience that sidebar(for example, history sidebar by pressing Ctrl+H) is not restoring to last state when restarting, and sidebar becomes empty when opening new window.

oops, may be it is a theme-related problem? I'll try using default theme to see if problem still exists or not.

Please move any discussion about potential problems with the alpha/beta of v28 to the appropriate dedicated board, thank you.
