Pale Moon is not Firefox. They are two divergent browsers. Use the previous version squarefractal suggested. If you really want the newest version, you can contact the developer of the add-on and kindly ask him/her to add Pale Moon support to the add-on.

As time goes on more and more of them are going to require you to use older versions. You are going to want to go through the history and watch for changes around 2014 with mentions of things like FF29, Australis and interface changes. Usually that is the sign of them changing over.

The other thing is that one has 2 reviews and one of them is bad. I wouldn't expect much from it.

@mehdi1368: Yes contact the devs of this add-on, trust me it's worth a try; I have have contacted many and only two have said, "sure, this sounds reasonable." So it mite just be your lucky day or two.

Yup, just gotta use a lower version. There are several add-ons I have that will not work with the latest Pale Moon but that does not make a difference. I simply disable the auto update feature on Pale Moon for my add-ons as this is something that we will have to deal with when developers simply either refuse or don't have the time to deal with another browser version. That does not mean that the older version won't be acceptable or work right. But there are many changes between Firefox and Pale Moon and that is why I left Firefox for Pale Moon. Firefox is going in a direction that most of us in Pale Moon consider a bad direction.

Think of it this way, If you own a older Honda and at the time there were offered extras for the car and now there is a newer version does not mean the older add-on's were bad. It just means the older add-on's were for the older car and won't work with the newer one.

Why is a lower version not good for you? Why do you insist on a specific version that is not compatible, when an older version just works?

 Me thinks your gonna have to compromise somewhere. Either use an older version or a different browser. ;)

It's kinda like that having your cake and eating it too, thing ;) Don't get me wrong.
I like to eat my cake when I can, even with some ice cream,
but sometimes it just don't work that way. Looks like this is one of those times.

I went through this with "self destructing cookies" an add on I find indispensable in my humble opinion. ;)
There is simply not another add on like it anywhere that does what it does. I was very fortunate to find an older version
that worked and the day was saved.

In the future, because of where Firefox is going (downhill in a hurricane in my opinion) add on developers are going to have to make some hard choices. I think a lot of them will simply quit making add on's as I have been reading already.

So unless they decide to come on over to Pale Moon then we will have to do without, unless someone here can find a way to make them work.

Firefox reminds me a of a bacteria that needed it's host to survive  but instead killed the host  I.E. the add on developers.
It was all the super awesome add on's that made Firefox what it was in the old days. There was some rocking theme developers too. But as time went on they simply kept making it harder and harder for them and most left.

Now it seems that they are doing their darndest to simply kill off the host. They have forgotten that even good bacteria needs a host. And Firefox simply did not realize that they are not the host. It was the add on developers that made it king.

The king now has no clothes.

Thank God for Pale Moon and it's team. You guys Rock  Seriously? What would we be using if you didn't come along?

If it's important enough to you to have a browser like Firefox used to be but better, then it may be worth it to use an older add on version even if you have to do without some features.

I know it is for me

Not true! When looking at the changelogs you will see that many(most?) of the changes are very minor. Recently many of them are changes for Australis. That is something that is working against your interests. You also are going to find that when they browbeat you into always running the latest versions for security reasons they are crying wolf. Look at the list of actual changes and security improvements rarely happen.

It comes down to newer isn't always better.

You're better off trying the old version suggested, then seeing if any features are missing. You might be surprised how complete it actually is.

The latest version of Pale Moon is 25.7, so you should be able to use this add on if you simply update Pale Moon.

What I'm about to say may be a little confusing, so bare with me:

For AMO, we put in a specific override in the about:config containing "firefox/24.9" in the UAS to allow Pale Moon users to install extensions from AMO, otherwise AMO wouldn't recognize our browser at all and will have a banner up on top saying, "you need Firefox installed to use our add-ons." This is because Pale Moon was (Pale Moon v25.0+ is our own fork and should not be hashed in as "Firefox v25.0" because "Pale Moon is not Firefox and never will be again") and still is a little to close/based off the Firefox v24.0+ ESR code. So with this being said, the most compatible add-ons that can be installed in Pale Moon are the ones based off Firefox v24.0 code and sometimes in the range of any Firefox pre-Australis (old Firefox) versions. Now this why you get the message, "Your using an outdated version of Firefox that is no longer supported, Firefox 24.9."
mehdi1368 wrote:when update to 25?
So as I stated up above, Pale Moon is a fork and it become one starting with v25.0+ (current version is 25.7.0). A fork is, taking snapshots of the original products code base and will go on forward with that on our own; we will not follow every step Firefox/Waterfox/Cyberfox/SeaMonkey ("based-off" Firefox/Mozilla code browsers) makes to implement certain code and functionality that is not in our plans ahead of us.

Well, there you go. Hope I made things easier. Admins/Devs, please jump in and correct me if I got it wrong, as this is very difficult to understand and explain here.

I think you explained this sufficiently, LimboSlam. Thank you for clearing that up for me since I was confused as to why I was receiving that message on several addons that I wanted to install.
