Pale Moon atom build v25.7 update failed multiple times

Unread post by pHROZEN gHOST » 2015-08-26, 15:49

Win XP Pro SP3++.

I have never had problems with updates before today.

I have tried to run the update (for v25.7) through the about dialog three times. Each time it has failed resulting in no Pale Moon restart and a link that comes up with an error - not a valid win 32 image.
Each time I've had to roll back to a zipped copy of the pale moon directory before the update. I even tried running the EXE from the pale moon directory with the same error.
I downloaded the v25.7 ZIP file from FOSHUB (https://www.palemoon.org/palemoon-atom.shtml) and unzipped it to the proper directory and I get the same error.

I beg your pardon but, did anyone check the EXE before releasing it?

The program is always checked before release (thoroughly so). Apparently though, nobody is still on XP and the compat issue was not noticed until after publication.

This has been solved.
