pale moon no longer completes the login/password

I run portable pale moon 25.6 on xp.

It went well until I noticed, perhaps after 25.5.1, that, on this website the most [or only ? it is fine with google]

I can no longer double click in a login field for login/password to have a list of all logins available for the site [typically, a webmail] and automatically have my password written for me, after I selected the right login.


and firefox and chromium have no problems showing me the logins, either when they are in SAFE MODE or not [firefox has the same addons as Pale moon].

Pale moon has a problem even in SAFE MODE, where everything is disabled.


actually, since my connexion is slow, sometimes I have the time to double click and the list appears, then either
- there is no time to select any login, because the list disappears quickly
-if the list is slow to disappear [likely due to my limited resources], then I select the login that I want, but nothing is written in the login field, nor in the password field
