New user from FireFox here.
On a regular basis I image my Windows partition, make a mess of it, then erase the mess by writing over it with the old clean image to start fresh. One thing I like to preserve when stepping back like this is my current browser profile. To do this I relocated the FireFox profile to another drive with 'run:firefox -p'.
For my new install of Palemoon this tool does not seem to get the message across. When I try it the old FireFox profile is relocated but Palemoon ignores the change and keeps using its original location within the Windows partition.
How do I tell Palemoon to use a new location to store it's new profile info. (I do not want to migrate anything from Firefox.)
btw- I am using an Atom netbook with WindowsXP and the Atom version of Palemoon.
Relocate PM profile folder off of OS partition

Re: Relocate PM profile folder off of OS partition
Maybe it is because I still have the original Firefox installed. I will try setting up Palemoon by itself on a Windows7 machine to do this.
Re: Relocate PM profile folder off of OS partition
use -profile-manager and create the profile in whatever location you want. The profile info(where the profile is and what it is called) will be stored in default location but the actual profile will be elsewhere
You can even tell it after the fact where it is and it shouldn't overwrite it.
