Regardless of all the problems connected to XP I have an issue updating FLASH and I have it also on SERVER 2003.
Running PM 24.7.2 on both systems but the sites tell me that FLASH is not installed, (I have Acrobat 7 Professional installed) I tried updating to the latest version to no avail it just hangs. Following a discussion on one entry in the forum I did locate FLASH PLAYER 13 as it was suggested and it did install (it shown on the page of installed apps) but the sites still tell me that Flash is not installed and in the Add on Manager Flask Player is disabled. When I try to update it Mozilla instead of mentioning that version 9 is a security risk (to whom if I am trying to update it !!!) as it did before it tells me that versions between 11.0 and 11.7.700.169 have been blocked for my protection but I am trying to install version 13. I also do not understand why I get that kind of message because if someone wants to upgrade from an older version they should allow it.
It is also strange that they take so much interest in the security of my PC and if I prefer to use Reader v. 9 instead of 11 it should indeed be by problem since it is on my PC and not on theirs. It is totally unclear what is updating what since I did try to install Reader v. 11 but it did nothing for Flash on web sites instead it screwed up my reader that I liked in the way it was (and went back to it).
Does anyone know how to circumvent this?
Thanks

Re: Can't use or update FLASH
13.0.0.264 is vulnerable. please update to a more current version of Flash ESR.
The fact that it displays a different report on the mozilla website (for a different version range) is known, but I haven't had time to look into where exacty the checker gets confused.

Re: Can't use or update FLASH
You should also update Pale Moon from 24.7.2 to the latest PM4XP or PM4Atom versions as 24.7.2 is known to have real-world exploitable security flaws.
