palemoon.exe_Application Error
Any time i try to open palemoon.exe i receive an application error box of the
instruction at....referenced memory at..... the memory could not be written.
I reloaded twice but still get the same error. Im using the winxp/atom palemoon ( or trying to)
Used the installer to install.
Unsure after a google search of how to proceed so any help would be gratefully received.
Thx

Re: palemoon.exe_Application Error
That would be a runtime error usually thrown by the c runtime library itself.
Can you please include the following information in your reply:
If you can't even do that, then it's almost certainly some other system software causing trouble.
Can you please include the following information in your reply:
- A screenshot of the error box
- What (if any) antivirus software/internet security software you may be running
- What version of Windows XP you're running (which service pack, etc.)
- Any other software you may be running that may interact with Pale Moon (non-standard plugins, window decoration tools, etc.)
If you can't even do that, then it's almost certainly some other system software causing trouble.

Re: palemoon.exe_Application Error
Could the OPs issue be caused by the POSReady update registry hack?

Re: palemoon.exe_Application Error
Possibly, but considering it was posted in THIS board, I'm assuming it's a legit Windows XP without hacks.half-moon wrote:Could the OPs issue be caused by the POSReady update registry hack?

Re: palemoon.exe_Application Error
Hmm.. Nothing really springs to mind to suggest.
Have you tried downloading a fresh installer and running it to make sure all your pale Moon files are correct and of the current version?
http://www.palemoon.org/palemoon-atom.shtml
Did Pale Moon run OK previously? If so, at what point in time did it stop working? What did you change or do just prior to that?

It seems your cpu does not support sse2.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2#CPU_support
If so, use sse mod palemoon viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10003
