Error message received ....."palemoon-26.3.0.Atom.WinXP.installer.exe.part could not be saved because the source file could not be read" - when trying to download from PM Mirror Number 1.
I do not understand the .part - any ideas, please

No problem downloading from mirror #1.
The ".part" extension is what pale Moon uses for partially-downloaded files. The main issue though is that "the source could not be read" meaning there's a connectivity issue to Mirror #1 for you. Please try another mirror.

Still having problems, even with Mirror 2. I now see that I have two 'downloads', one called
palemoon-26.3.0.Atom.WinXP.installer (with 0 bytes) and the second called
palemoon-26.3.0.Atom.WinXP.Installer (a PART file, 4.26MB, opens with (wait for it!) Adobe Photoshop CS2.
I am running with XP3, trying to update. Over to you!

Problem eventually solved by using a different update route. Instead of going from Downloads on PM Home page I went via Help/Check for updates. That worked first time.
