Is it OK to install PM Atom/WinXP and PM SSE on the same laptop running XP?
Will they both work independently of each other?
Thanks for the help.

To make them work independently of each other, you'll have to use the portable version of the Atom build.
..and edit Palemoon-Portable.ini, like described by Moonchild here:

Re: running two versions of PM
Thank you for the information.
I have Atom installed now and I want to try SSE to see if it works better in my old laptop with XP.
I would prefer to avoid removing Atom version.
If I install SSE, can I then try them at different times, but not together to see how each works?

Re: running two versions of PM
They will probably conflict with one another..
Meaning that they will share the same user directories and reg. keys.
For them work independently, you really have to set things up like I wrote in my previous post.
btw; there shouldn't be any need to be running the SSE build, if your CPU supports newer instruction sets.
To find out what your CPU supports, simply run 'Coreinfo' from CMD:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sys ... 35722.aspx
( * = supported / - = unsupported )
