I accidentally deleted the profile of Pale Moon ... But I made a backup of Windows XP. How can I restore it?

Hey there Ultor, What operating system are you using right now? Do you have access to the XP files? Like on a separate HD or separate partition?Ultor wrote:I accidentally deleted the profile of Pale Moon ... But I made a backup of Windows XP. How can I restore it?
If you have a back up copy of your "application data" file, it's pretty easy to copy it and paste it back to your current folder. But the specifics depend on what current OP your using. Let us know.

Re: Profile deleted!
Ok, well that's easy. But before you do this make sure you have your view settings set to show "hidden folders". So if you have access to your other XP drive then just open up the drive and follow the different folders below.Ultor wrote:I use XP and I have access to XP file with separate HD
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Moonchild Productions
So the first folder you will see is your C: folder on the old XP and then browse to "Documents and Settings". Click that and you should see some options like this. Left click on the folder with what ever user name you used on your older machine.
Once you click on that folder you should see something like this. You should see the "Application Data" folder so just click on it.
Look for the "Moonchild Productions" Folder. At this point you can just copy this whole folder to the same place on your new XP drive that is in the same place. Windows will ask if you want to overwrite everything. Just say yes and let it rip.
Let me know if you have any troubles.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
