Flash Plugin Crashing

Unread post by SeliasK » 2015-04-14, 09:43

My flash plugin crashes several times a week. I could understand this if I had like, a dozen different tabs using flash, but I usually only have Pandora and Anti-Idle (a flash game) running. Sometimes I have Pandora paused, while I listen to a Youtube video. How can I keep this from happening? I never had this problem with Firefox.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but whenever I tried to install the Flash Plugin, it kept getting installed to Internet Explorer, so I had to re-install Pale Moon while migrating the Internet Explorer settings.

There are two different versions, one for IE, and one for Non-IE browsers, so you must have been downloading the IE version. Also, make sure to use the latest version. Or, if you get crashes with the latest version, try the ESR version.

Well, considering that it didn't boot up IE, after I finished installing it, I'm feeling hopeful. If it didn't, I'll probably reply within the week.

To make sure you have it installed, go to "Tools >> Add-ons" then Plugins tab.

Well, that didn't work. Guess I'll try out the ESR version.

If you still get a lot of crashing, try disabling Protected Mode. See this post: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7821&p=51133

If you do it manually, make sure you are running as Administrator.

Thanks. ESR didn't work, so I'll see how this works.
