Cannot download Flash plugin

I just tried to download the latest Adobe Flash plugin with Pale Moon 27.9.4, but I just get sent to
www.adobe.com instead. What have they changed that makes it impossible to do that now? I was also unable to get a plugin with Safari, or Opera, or SeaMonkey. I tried a user-agent override in SeaMonkey (fake Firefox user-agent, FF 57 on MacOS 10.13) and was finally able to get the plugin. When I tried the same override with Pale Moon, it did not work. What is going on? Why does the exact same override in about:config work with SeaMonkey but not Pale Moon?

And what URL are you using?
Try,
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.
Be sure and uncheck an "offers" they may try to throw your way.
(And even with that URL, you're given a "stub" installer.)

I had no problem installing Flash 30.0.0.154 on all 4 of my Windows 7 hard drives which comprise 4 different models of computers (2 desktop towers, 2 laptops) without any override codes. The problem has to be on your end someplace and not with Pale Moon.

(Even better, IMO, the bottom of this page,
Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI, is the full installer.
Save it. Then run it.)

I had to use
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb ... r-mac.html instead, but it works. Thanks. What did they do to
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to make it foul things up? It used to work.

The link you posted above in your message is the exact same link I use to install all versions of Flash in all of my (4) windows hard drives running Pale Moon so that link above is not fouled up since it still works. At least it does for me.

It no longer works with MacOS, so they must have done something.

By any chance, does this link work for you?
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

That link you originally provided works in Windows 7 which is where I go to get the newest versions of Flash.

For a bit, I was getting a page that had no way to download on
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/.
It turned out to be caused by a filter in
Fanboy’s Annoyance List (or the
anti-cookie filter / Cookiemonster list),
that was blocking this script:
Code: Select all
https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/downloadcenter/singlepage/live/js/jquery/plugins/cookies/cookies.js
An exception rule was
recently added to fix that, so updating the list solved it for me.

No, If I mouse over the button, I see that it goes to javascript:void(0) and the button does nothing. Therube's link, modified for Mac, works.

I just tried that with Safari, and it works now. Why did a fake Firefox user-agent work anyway but with only SeaMonkey? I have uBlock Origin in all 4 browsers with exactly the same subscriptions.
