Unread post by rejoicingmom » 2017-08-04, 02:51

Hello,
Sorry for the simple post here, but I am desperate for help and about ready pull my hair out.
I updated my browser this morning. Usually not a problem. However now that I am rebooted I cannot get Adobe Flash Player to work... on ANY brower!!
This particular link is one that the live cams won't work on.

Use Adobe's Flash uninstaller to remove it, restart then re-install it.

Video played fine here only in Safe Mode, so perhaps an extension (not plugin) is interfering.

All I get is "Uh oh! There was a problem playing this content. Please try again." -- my Flash player works fine otherwise, but it's an older version so it may not like the video format in use.

Thank you for your help.
When I go to Mircosoft Edge ( which I abolutely HATE)......I can play it.
When I go to Palemoon and Firefox, I cannot.

Thank you Night Wing and Back2themoon for your response. This helps me in figuring out what to do.
It was fine until yesterday when I updated my Pale Moon Browser.
I will keep persevering.
I did uninstall and reinstall Adobe but to no avail.

I did this and it still does not work.
I even tried disabling the extensions that might be conflicting, but no difference.

You should still try Safe Mode, then clean browser cache/history and then, try a clean profile. Quick method to check if a clean profile works (check signature for more):

1. Proceed only if you know what you are doing.
2. Make sure Pale Moon is closed and not running in the background.
3. Move (don't copy) your AppData/Roaming/Moonchild Productions folder somewhere safe.
4. Open Pale Moon. It's a clean profile, test whatever you want.

To bring back your previous profile:

5. Make sure Pale Moon is closed and not running in the background.
6. Delete your newly created AppData/Roaming/Moonchild Productions folder.
7. Move back there the MoonChild Productions folder you backed up in step 3.
8. Open Pale Moon. It's your previous profile - if there were problems with it, they are still there.

I don't know how to move the App... or where to find it.Would a safe place be on a desktop? or...

You have to move a folder (with Windows File Explorer, a simple copy operation), not an App. Yes, you can put it on the Desktop but again, if you are not sure of what you are doing, don't do it.

Well bummer.
I have searched for the file folder that Back2themoon and explored more
how to remedy the Adobe Flash player malfunction on Pale Moon to no avail.
What is frustrating is that I can use that same cam fine on Edge, Vivaldi, and Chrome.
I MUCH prefer Pale Moon as I am so used to it and really have liked how it works.
Afraid I am going to need to leave the community of Pale Moon :(

The AppData folder is hidden (search "how to find AppData folder" for example), go to File Explorer's options and find the option to "show hidden files/folders" (not the "show protected operating system files" option, leave that alone).

You can then go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming folder and find the Moonchild Productions folder.

The video plays just fine for me in Pale Moon v27.4.1,x64.
It works both with Flash Player v26.0.0.137 and with v26.0.0.151, which I installed today.
I always perform clean installs of Flash Player, using the offline installers though..
Perhaps that has got something to do with it.

Thank you for this information Tomaso.
I have two desktops. Both are about 2 years old. All in One HP's with Windows 10.
I lost the one video ( that I wrote about) on the one computer, right after a Windows 10 update. I still cannot get it to work.

Yesterday Windows 10 updated on my second computer. ( I HATE Windows 10 updates as they just automatically update on shutdown)..
NOW the video on the second computer WONT WORK ....
How do you do a Clean install of Flash player using offline installers???

Thank you all for your information.
I am now having problems going into safe mode. ( Windows 10)
It says " This app can't open. Tips can't be opened using the built in administrator account.Sign in a different account and try again."
I have no other account.
