I have the latest drivers for my video card... I need to stop hardware acceleration while playing the shockwave games on my pc - there is no settings option in the pc control panel for flashplayer to uncheck the hardware acceleration. I have already unchecked stop hardware acceleration on both IE and Firefox, aka Pale Moon. So far that has stopped the BSOD while using the browsers - (some games freeze, but no BSOD) - still getting BSOD while trying to play games installed on my PC...
I am using Window 07 and NVIDIA Geforce 340.52 / AMD Phenom II x4 955

Re: Hardware Acceleration Problems with Pale Moon
What you should do is right-click a flash movie itself, select settings, and disable (untick) hardware acceleration in the small options window of the plugin that pops up then.

Re: Hardware Acceleration Problems with Pale Moon
Just wondering...
Is there a difference in disabling the HW acceleration in flash player settings
vs
unchecking 'Use hardware acceleration when available' checkbox in Options/Advanced/General tab?
Thank you

It should be obvious that one only applies to the plugin, the other to everything in the browser's display of content.

Looks like your PSU or video card is ill... Bad caps are suspected in your PSU... Because of the age of the system...ross03 wrote: still getting BSOD while trying to play games installed on my PC...
