This post is meant for the people that still need to distribute and use Adobe Flash player, either for legacy SWF files or services that rely in FLV videos. And need to keep updated this plug-in.
As you (may not) know, Adobe diminished the last standalone installer distribution page in late September. If you used that page for grab the installers now you are redirected to the unique download page. All download services like Filehippo or Filehorse send you to this new page as they are forbidden to distribute the standalone player.
This page poses several troubles:
If you need to install in several machines and don't want to ink a license with Adobe, there is another solution: You can install the beta Flash player instead from Adobe Labs.

- You have bloatware offers that you must uncheck first, also adds 10-25 MB extra to your download.
- You get a web installer instead the full installer.
- This method only works for a single computer connected to internet, so you must do this in each computer manually or allow that Adobe update Flash for you.
- If you need to upgrade computers offline you need to get a distribution license.

- The beta player available as standalone for MSIE, Firefox and Opera as well for Windows Vista/7/8.1, MacOS and Linux.
- The installers can be used in several machines without need to a license.
- This player have an auto update feature.

As you see, there are little room left by Adobe for keep your player updated without bloatware. I must admit that even old developers like me need to see for other tools like HTML5, SVG or video for replace Flash in their projects.
