Alright, alright, I give up.
I just deactivated Status-4-Evar and installed PaleMoon status bar.

One last thing, could you please adjust the filling progress bar in the address bar in one of the next versions of PaleMoon, so that it only fills the inner area like Status-4-Evar does? Sorry for being pedantic or even obsessive-compulsive, but that bar is really bugging me.

It's a good idea. We made a test for integrate PM toolbar and let install S4E and it failed. PaleMoon has no clue to which toolbar wants to do that and if you uninstall S4E it left PM in a complete mess. So really S4E is a no-no. Sorry.

Is there a good reason why we can't be treated as adults and left to decide for ourselves whether or not to continue to use this add-on or any others on the blocked list?

Certainly flag up that there are stability issues whenever an add-on is installed (or all the add-ons are scanned) and recommend, even strongly recommend, that it should be disabled but leave it to the user to decide whether or not to risk continuing to run it, rather than leaving us with having to take the more drastic action of turning off such checking altogether.

Dear sir:

As part of the beta test group, I personally tested the compatibility of S4E and Pale Moon tool bar, and is not nice to work in a browser where 2 add-ons fight for the same options and functionality. My idea was to find a way to keep the S4E add-on compatible in Pale Moon and is not possible. Both add-ons override the options of the another further damaging the functionality both status bars, they mess into several other options like hide the "http://" from the address bar just for name one of the unexpected side effects.

A choice must need to be taken and since Pale Moon already have a toolbar, we won't risk the stability of the project of another toolbar that can break more Pale Moon in future versions. I'm sorry that people don't like this, but it would be irresponsible from my side to please some users and let pass a huge bug in the project. We must have only a toolbar here, no room for two. This apply to other add-ons that have closer ties inside Fire Fox code, they don't want to release patches for Pale Moon, if you want to complain then complain to the maker of the add-on.

You can always disable the add-on validator and install what you like, just don't complain if things don't work. Before a release we crash our installations in the beta tests, so you don't need to pass for that.

Trust me when I say that installing the S4E add-on on the current version breaks your browser much worse than disabling blocklist checking. At first glance it may seem to work, but you will run into problems when trying to configure one or the other or with extended use.
